Staple Items

Porridge oats for a quick, nutritional start to the day and lots of water to keep us hydrated.

Trainees were starting to show signs of stress today, but all still smiling. Language analysis sheets needed tomorrow with the lesson plans, one written assignment due on Thursday and another on Sunday. They switch student levels on Sunday (and tutors for teaching practice), so the 6 trainee teachers who have been with me since day 1 teaching the elementary students move on Sunday to teach intermediate for two weeks with my co-tutor, and vice versa. They all get the chance to observe the other level students being taught before the end of the week. Apart from this being useful to help them know what to expect at the new level, they get to observe two of their colleagues from the other teaching practice group teach the class they're inheriting. Now this may not be sound very interesting to you, but when you watch the same 5 colleagues teach every day for the rest of the month, it's positively exciting! Of course, group dynamics change with new 'observers', so another little bit of stress!
