Monday Moors

Thought I had best test the winter walking pants I got for Chrimbo so headed up to the moors nice and early this morning. This shot is the pilgrims stone on the moors, in the distance on the right you can just see the top of Peel tower which I passed about half an hour into the walk.

A lot of the snow has cleared now but still a bit around to add to the fun. It was bloody freezing up there when the wind picked up but the pants kept the jewels nice and toasty. Cant wait for the spring though when the skylarks come back, it must be one of the most beautiful sounds when you are in the middle of nowhere.
