A bit of luck...

Lucky is what I call this blip. I wasn't finding much of anything to photograph and the sun went away, leaving behind it some very dull, hazy light. I was about to call it a morning and head for home when this pileated woodpecker flew into range of my lens. Unfortunately he flew away before I managed a good capture, but I was able to track him down on a tree in the bog and had a clear view of him hammering away on this old tree. Definitely a lucky capture!

More weird weather today. The high temperature was below 50 degrees...around 20 degrees below normal. Warmer temps are predicted for later this week. I can't wait!
