Lest we forget...

Bit political today...

Our church did a memorial to those who suffered and died in World War 1 - and a great success it was too. I contributed a few items, and it got me thinking...

100 years ago... the War to end all Wars... Sacrifice and carnage on an industrial scale... you'd think we would know better than to fight over territory.

And yet Europe is sitting helpless and watching as Russia starts to reclaim its Empire. Meanwhile, while the killing escalates, the Germans refuse to take any significant action because it will hurt their trade links. Everyone else is just sitting dithering while Putin is laughing his head off.

Ukraine begins to burn and the Europhiles wring their hands helplessly as they refuse to see that the great stinking edifice that they have created with not a thought to real democracy faces ruin in the face of REAL power - the power of the gun.

It would seem we've learned nothing.
