May Day
Today was such a good day!
Ryan and I had planned to meet up and go on an adventure yet to be determined. Early this morning I found out that Passenger, my favourite musician was doing a busking session in London. Check out one of his songs and an interview here. So I dragged Ryan along with me. We had brunch on Southbank and wondered down to Millennium Bridge where he was set up to play. It was awesome. I've loved Passenger ever since Dam, Jon and I went on a spontaneous road trip back at the beginning of 2012 to Geelong and saw him play in a tiny room in pub. It was really intimate and we all just fell in love with him. It was really an experience that changes the way you feel about music.
Anyway, from that point he started getting quite popular due to touring with Ed Sheeran and releasing 'Let Her Go' so I'd pretty much given up on seeing him in a intimate setting like that again. This wasn't quite so intimate, but it was close, and I loved every second.
From there we had a couple of drinks on Southbank, with a view of the London Eye, then got on a couple of Barclays Bikes and went for a ride around the London Streets to Soho which was a very cool and different way to see the city. After dinner in China Town I headed home to bed!
