Down by the riverside.

After a visit to the dentist.
( Only needed cleaning ....thank goodness!)

Drove over to Cawood, near York to buy our first asparagus from the farmer we have been buying from for years.
Got a bit worried as there wasn't a sign out, but however he had some.
Now working on his own. Well past retirement! Each year we think it may be the last, and he will sell up. But he struggles on.

Then down to Naburn Locks, which is where I took this photo, along with may others.
We watched 4 boats go through the locks. I had a nice chat with another lady who was also taking photos.
I mentioned "Blip" and she said she would have a look when she got home.

You never know she may be another blipper in the making!

We had a lovely walk along the river bank. Had a chat with one of the fishermen who had caught a 20lb salmon this morning. Unfortunately he had to put it back, but showed us a photo on his ipad! ( they do come in useful! Had the time and date on the shot to prove it!)

Dropped Mr C off at the barbers on the way home.
So it's now off to make tea, and have the wonderful fresh asparagus.
Can't wait to taste it!
