Bank hol

After a 1am noise-complaint to our new neighbour, it was a slow, sleepy start to the day, but we managed to get down to Leigh by 11 to see G's parents and set up their new laptop. His Grandad came over in the afternoon, and it was brilliant hearing all his stories from the war. I lost all my Grandparents when I was 14, and don't feel like I ever really got to know them properly, something which makes me very sad, and it's so nice G has his Grandad around.

When we got back, we went for a refreshing cycle along the trail. It had been a lovely sunny day, but we'd been inside for most of it sorting the computer out, so it was good to stretch the legs. It's Day 5 of Every Day In May, and all is going well so far! On our way back from the cycle, we dropped in on the local bike kitchen and had a great time chatting to the volunteers whilst they gave our bikes a MOT, sorted out my gear issues and fitted a new thread. It's a donation-service run by volunteers, and another great advantage of living in a smaller community. My bike felt like a new machine afterwards!
