Frosty Football Field Fence

I feel like a "just started" Blipper. Here, at last, is my first entry using my new Canon 500D camera. (I can hear Lady Findhorn sighing with relief.) I am rather pleased with this frosty shot.

It was seriously below zero in Glasgow all day, so several layers, hats, scarves, gloves, boots and thick socks on, and off into Pollok Park to have a go with my new toy. I was only trying out basic settings and enjoying the zoooooommmm.

Some good, and several shots I was disappointed with, so will be posting a question on the Forum area for advice. I was surprised at the "blue" colour of the snow. My Canon IXUS has a snow setting which gives a very true image, however this SLR doesn't seem to have one ..... or as my Dad has already said this Christmas "read the instruction book".
