Primrose

This is the season of the tall and slender daffodils, tulips and bluebells. But I think Primroses are a wonderful little spring flower. The contrast of the tough knarly leaves against the soft delicate flowers and the low profile habitat are just quietly getting on with spring, without the dramatic fanfare of the tall slender spring heroes.
