Here to see The Robert Cray Band for some good time, uptown, low down blues. Great gig he's still got it! Great to hear songs like "right next door", "forecast calls for pain" and "sittin on top of the world" but oddly no "phone booth". He swapped his guitar every song while his poor guitar tech tuned the other one during songs. Also impressed with the keyboard players Hammond organ - with turned wooden legs, and his Leslie rotating speaker cabinet. Not something you see every day.

Lighting was too contrasty and barbican audience too refined for me to get any decent shots of him so this is the funky lighting.

On the way home SR took me back via the high level walkways she has been blipping. It's another world.
