Presta Valves

Aren't they great?
They're amazing things really, until they break. :-)
Just finished blowing up my bike tyre this am and the threaded shaft on the end of the valve snapped.
As you can see in the pic, the remaining piece (about the length of the nail on your little finger) got sucked inside the tube.
So, as time was short I had to endure the bus to work :-(
Anyway, its not worth the effort to fix so I fitted a new inner tube this evening before another 9pm conference call to the US, yaaawn!

Btw, the white powder is from the inner tube and the blade was used to open it...nothing to do with drugs :-)
