An Artist's Life

Ride After Rain...

Spied a couple of horsewomen taking a leisurely ride after a rainstorm. They're heading for a trail-ride on Willow Mountain right behind me as I took this picture. All the nags are still a bit shaggy with their spring coats...down one layer for winter. Soon they'll be sleek as seals and shiny as bright new pennies. I would like to be, too. As green replaces the brown, we smell new growth in the air and soon flowers will burst forth. Everyone has gardening fever...we're trading seeds, cuttings and planting advice... most of which we'll ignore because each of us has our own agrarian goddess we follow. Almost all my neighbors are transplants from other states, so we ignore their advice the most. ;-)
