Inside the Cathedral

An early morning visit to the Cathedral of St Matthew the Apostle in DC. A not very exciting outside leads in to a very beautiful interior. Established in 1840, this is seen as one of the most impressive houses of worship in the US.

The funeral mass for President Kennedy was celebrated here on 25 November 1963.

Here's a fascinating fact. St Matthew is the patron saint of civil servants. Who knew?!
