There's a hole where the kitchen used to be

Half the kitchen was in what can only be described as a lean-to. Very cold, rather depressing and extremely inconvenient to use.

Today, 2 men came and took it all to pieces.

They're also going to build a proper extension - with bricks and everything ;-) and then also open up the kitchen into the living room, block the door to the kitchen, and build a new wall with lovely glass slidy doors to create a kitchen-diner. Keeping up so far?

It does make sense, honest.

And I loathed that kitchen so much I even prefer the hole we are left with at the end of day 1. And the surprise that the previous extension was built on sand with a few paving stones...
