Life goes on ....

It's a year ago today since one of my best friends, lost his best friend. Darren's passing came without warning, he got up in the middle of the night for some water, and bang, he was gone. His partner has had a year full of sadness, she says it feels like yesterday but also it's been the longest year. His daughters were only 2 years old and 5 months old, so sad that they will never know their daddy properly.

Darren had a lot of friends, they meet up once a month for a curry, some of them didn't even know one another until he was gone. They say they will tell his daughters all about him as they grow older, Lisa will too, and all the other people who have surrounded them the last year and been a big cushion for this little family. I hope the next year is a little easier.
