Wisteria and ceanothus
My garden helper has pruned my wisteria in previous years, and was itching to do it again a few weeks ago but I wouldn't let him. It's the first year that it's had so many flowers, positively dripping with them. Not bad for a weedy looking plant I bought from the nursery's reject pile for 50p. Can't remember where I got the ceanothus but it was probably grown from a cutting, as most of my shrubs were. I'm a very frugal gardener.
