Boulevard Saint Germain
The Boulevard Saint Germain is one of the major avenues in Paris, running parallel to the river Seine on its left bank through the center of the city. I took this image near the start of the boulevard at the Assemblee Nationale. In the foreground is a traditional newspaper stand; others more or less in this style are still fairly common around the city. And there's a parked motorcycle--it wouldn't be Paris without one :)
We're just a block from the Fondation Costodia, where I visited a wonderful exhibition of early Netherlandish drawings from the 15th and 16th centuries--Hieronymous Bosch and Pieter Breughel the Elder were the stars. They were on loan from the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam.
