Hanchurch Sunset
Went for a stroll around the woods at Hanchurch, with my better half. We opted for a walk there as nearly a year ago to the day we had one of our first walks together there, so it's a special place for us.
The weather was a bit threatening, with a little rain falling off and on, but it didn't stop us from having a lovely walk. Being with such wonderful company does help :)
Sadly my better half forgot to take her camera (as well as her walking socks :D), but we came back with quite a few nice ones again, my favourites of which are here.
The sunset was beautiful and I was drawn to this composition, with the sun setting behind the trees.
I improved the effect a little in post-processing. Mostly done in Photoshop, which was a global levels adjustment to enhance the silhouetting, then painting black on the ground, on a duplicate of the background layer, to fill in the parts where the foreground colour distractingly still came through. Then cropped a little off the bottom, to make a rectangular crop.
