South-East Texas Beach

View of the beach near Beaumont, Texas on Christmas Eve as I'm being checked out in one of K-USA's Cessna 172s by Terry Pellerin. The aircraft only has 160HP, and I found it a bit underpowered. Also it was an ex Embry-Riddle trainer, and had definitely seen better days. The little panel holding the call sign fell off on the floor on the final landing, so I was temporarily unable to give my callsign to Beaumont Ground when acknowledging taxi instructions at KBPT. Previously it had been hanging on sideways by one screw :-)
