Blackhawke Big Band Gig

Blackhawke gig tonight at Whiteheads Sports and Social Club for the South Wales Big Band Society. Took the 60D with the 50mm lens along just in case, and due to the fact that we played a number without a piano part in the 2nd half, I took the opportunity to get some band pics.

In this one, Neil Martin (left) and Owain Mealing (right - leader of the band) on trumpet. In all honesty, the audience only marginally outnumbered the band. Still some good numbers tonight. McCoy Tyner's Passion Dance and Duke Ellington's "Kinda Dukish/Rockin in Rhythm" sounded good.
