Blackburnian Warbler
Today, Linda and I saw a species of bird we have not seen before. A small flock of a 10 or so Blackburnian Warblers passed through our townhouse complex. They were flitting in and out of the trees, constantly on the move, constantly picking at the buds looking for insects and spiders. The flock also consisted of several black & white warblers.
I had to clean it up a lot in post. The lighting was terrible (late in the day, in shadow) and it was cropped from a long, zoomed shot. Better than nothing, I suppose!
Linda posted another view of one of the flock.
Wiki.
It's been a good week for rare birds. A pair of cedar waxwings came by a couple of days ago. We've gotten some nice shots of tree swallows, too. All blipped, of course.
