For Dry Feet

This is the ford on the route that I frequently walk.

It marks the true beginning of summer when you can walk across it without getting wet feet.

Most of the year it is impassible to humans and (in the winter) to cars as well.

This was the place many years ago that one's children liked to paddle in those long hot summers.

So summer has arrived then...
