Home-Town
Lampeter by night. It was dead!
Rewind back a day though - I didn't blip yesterday, it was a busy day again of visiting and driving. Saw my God-daughter and her brother - who have also grown LOADS, as well as Katy and her 6yr old who was soooo excited about Christmas! It's quite frightening because it really does only seem like yesterday that they were all born.
Both Severn Bridges were closed for a large part of the day (overhanging ice as opposed to fluffy snow) - but were open again by the time I wanted to cross, so that was all fine and I finally got to Llanelli about 7pm after the M4 was closed following an accident. It was here that I got to see Di & Dai who emigrated to Oz 3yrs ago. They were staying with his brother and family - with baby Steffan, born the week I moved to Poland. So more catching up over supper and fizz - it was like they hadn't been away and we just picked up where we left off! Stayed overnight (my last leg of the journey home) and then did a spot of Chrismtas shopping the following morning (today), before driving the last hour home.
Dad drove me into town to meet up with Rhian and Emma. Julianna couldn't make it, so it was a 75% turn-out for our annual curry in the Shapla. (I missed the last two). More wine, more catching up and this was the state of town at about 11pm as I waited for dad to fetch me... Probably because it was so cold and icy.
