Lichen

We had the best of today's weather for our walk, only rained on a couple of times. Our route was up past the Communion Stones to the top of Bishop Forest Hill, through a couple of damp bits where D had seen some nice wild flowers on his run - Marsh marigolds, anemones, primroses and violets. Skylarks singing over the tussocky uplands and a couple of buzzards up high.
On top of Bishop Forest Hill, I stopped admiring the view and got interested in taking macros of the lichen and moss. When I eventually looked up, D was about half a mile away down the path. I had been in another world...
