My definition of "early"...
... is clearly different to the the pub's!
Bit of an issue with the brum brum on the way home last night (brakes sounding like a 60-a-day smoker clearing his throat every time I touched the pedal lol) meant an unexpected day working at home today.
Before I started that, I drove very gingerly into Selby to a local garage for them to take a look. I was halfway round Sainsbury's when they rang to say that my front brakes pads were worn right through and the discs were scored to hell. While they got on fitting new ones, I popped round the corner to a little local cafe for a pot of tea and a cherry and almond scone - well it was raining, so it would've been rude not to.
I sat and whiled away half an hour, waiting for the doors of the pub across the road to open but no joy. Perhaps the owners are teenagers, in which case "early" might well mean mid-afternoon!
