Clutching at Crows!
This could well be my 100th blip! Not counting all the back blips I've added.
Yesterday was the longest day ever....cannot believe some of the things that hospitals get away with..
Saying "it's not a nurses or health care assistants job to feed patients" so how is an 85 yr old with severe dementia and Parkinson's disease suppose to eat then??? Oh I know one or 3 of her family will spend 8hrs a day at the hospital to ensure she gets something to eat.
Then having being told at 2.30 that she's being discharged we wait until 8.30pm for an ambulance to transport her to a nursing home, which really would have preferred her to arrive slightly earlier than 9.30pm. But as the inconsiderate and rude nurse said "it's not our problem she's discharged now, doesn't matter what times she leaves-she's going tonight and that's it"
I hope one day the staff that treated my family with no respect find out how it feels, and the staff that were kind and caring know we really appreciated it.
Rant over!!!!
At least the mother in law is now settled in an amazing home full of kind, caring staff who plan on fattening her back up with raspberry & double cream smoothies!!!!
Here's hoping for some quieter times for a while.
