A rout of snails

Spotted these fellas on my lunchtime walk. It is obviously a favourite snail hang out.

I checked out the collective noun for snails and apparently you can say:

A rout of snails, or
A walk of snails, or
An escargatoire of snails - that is definitely my favourite.

I am not sure I'll get to pop that into conversation much, but I shall commit it to memory just in case
