Port Hood Boardwalk!

What a fabulous day we've had! blue skies, warm air, (no snow) and an afternoon of exploration!

We drove over to Port Hood, about 1 1/2 hours away, on the west coast of Cape Breton, to deliver pots to a new gallery! This is a great way to have an enforced afternoon away, doing something work related and adding a big dollop of lollygaggin!

After we dropped off the pottery, we headed to the beach which is wonderful. So many of the beaches here are stones...this one is all sand! We had a great walk along the beach on our outward journey, and then on the way back we headed up over the duns to see the other part - well it was wonderful! All this beautiful marsh land, with swallows and red winged blackbirds flitting about. The place was alive with the sound of the peepers too! What a lovely area to discover, gave me an opportunity to take lots of photos of marsh lands for future paintings! i've been looking for just this type of landscape to try a painting off!!!

Then we stopped at our favorite spot on the way home and had dinner and a lovely chat with the owners. All in all a very splendid day! And money in my back pocket...yeah!!

Only 1 more sleep!!!!
