Before the Rush

Well, I assume it's before the rush. The staff are all there, but no customers at 7.30pm on a Thursday night. I assume there are bookings a little later, because for locals anyway, Ashcrofts Restaurant is not really your "I don't feel like cooking tonight, let's just drop in to Ashcrofts for a meal" kind of place - more a special occasion, book ahead restaurant. Of course, weekend lunchtimes are a little different when the more well healed visitors from Sydney can fill the place up pretty quickly without notice.

Superb food and attentive service though - a thoroughly recommended dining experience!
