Fair Oaks Farms

There is a huge dairy enterprise located in several areas along US 65 (which, incidentally, originates in Gary, Indiana and terminates at the Gulf of Mexico. Joel and I drove it once and thought we were big shots.) One of the dairys has opened to the public so kids and people like me can learn all we want about dairy farming and even witness the birth of a calf. Streetlights throughout the farm blink green (I think) when a baby is on its way so everyone can high-tail it over to watch. They make cheese (very good) and ice cream (even better) right on the premises. This mural is painted on the gas station next door. That's how much everybody loves the cows.
