Yesterday's blip hit the spotlight

And I think it may have gone to my head!

Thanks to dwalletta for the idea for today's blip. I know you didn't suggest it as such, but it was your comment that sparked the idea. That's often all it takes.

A big thank you also to everyone who viewed yesterday's blip and were responsible for it hitting the spotlight. Only the 2nd time I've had that honour and the first time for one of my Photoshop manipulations which means a lot to me.

Got on the scales this morning. First time since I decided to tackle my slowly growing waistline. Last year, my weight dropped to 11 stone 12 pounds when I was eating sensibly and exercising like my life depended on it. After the summer holidays, the weight crept back on, and whilst I kid myself that nothing had changed, the truth is I was snacking and spending less time in the gym. Weight crept up to about 13 stone 2 pounds. Not good.

So, for the last 5 weeks, I have been exercising more often but not manically as before and fasting 2 days a week. I'm not going mad on the fast days, just eating small low calorie meals and absolutely no snacks. Weight is down to 12 stone 9 pounds, so going the right way.

As for the fast diet - nothing magic in my opinion. It's simple maths; less calories in equals weight loss. The beauty however is that you only deny yourself 2 days a week instead of 7 which is so much easier to manage and, the big bonus for me, it makes you so aware of how much you snack throughout the day which means that even on your non fast days, you cut back.
