First Skate of the year

we went down to the pond for our first skate. it was really cold night.
but it was a beauty, full moon, bright night.

we had a quick hockey game, then played tag on the ice.
then we stopped for a hot chocolate break (pictured).


the kids kept on skating, they didn't want to stop, but I was frozen.
after a couple of hours I couldn't take it anymore, so I called it a night.
