Omaha Steaks

For Mr. Fun's December 14th birthday, my sister sent him a huge package from the "Omaha Steaks" company.

The package contained top sirloin steaks, boneless pork chops, stuffed sole with scallops & crabmeat, gourmet franks, Omaha steak burgers, chicken breasts, stuffed baked potatoes, a cutlery set, cutting board, and a cookbook (and some advertisements and order forms). Oh yeah, and lots of dry ice.

We put it all in the freezer. Tonight we barbequed sirloin steaks, heated a couple of the baked potatoes, cooked some veggies, and had a spinach salad. It was absolutely delicious. This was the second time my sis had gifted him (us) with this delicious brand of meat. So when the package arrived 2 weeks ago we knew we were in for a treat.

Since mid-July, we've been dieting. Mr. Fun has lost 50 pounds. I think tonight was a "Victory Dinner!" Tomorrow the dieting continues. We'll have more victory dinners and more of this delicious meat soon.

P.S. Thanks for all the comments about yesterday's beach blip. Neither of us had ever seen a decorated Christmas tree, nor a "snowman" on the beach.
