Today after my daughter's OT session I went to collect a piece of equipment my son is borrowing to help his auditory processing disorder. It's a bit like a hearing aid where he wears a small ear piece and I wear a microphone/transmitter which transmits my voice directly to his ear. His processing disorder means that he is unable to filter out all the background noise when he is in a noisy or busy environment so I'm hoping he will tolerate wearing the ear piece and that it will really help him when we are out and about.
