Battered!
It's been very windy here today and the forecast for the weekend isn't looking good so I thought I'd start getting the tubs ready for the summer planting which will start very soon. This involved clearing the pots of the wallflowers which have given us glorious colour and perfume for weeks. I always grow a variety called Persian Carpet from seed for two reasons, firstly the colours are vibrant and a total riot. Secondly, my grandfather used to sow them and I can remember buying seeds with him when they were sold by the ounce (oz)! Now, that dates me!!
