R.I.P Louis
My worst fear when I entrusted Louis to a dog walker was that something would happen to him and today it did.
We left home this morning to go to work and told him that Dot was coming to pick him up. He got excited as usual and that's the last we saw of him.
I got a call on my mobile phone this afternoon while in work from a number I didn't recognise so I rejected the call. Shortly afterwards I had another call from the dog walker telling me that Louis had run off and didn't come back when she called him. I spoke to my boss and told him what had happened and that I needed to go and look for him, then phoned Alan to tell him the news. He said he'd leave work too and meet me at home.
I then got a call telling me that he'd been hit by a car and had been taken to the vets. I phoned the vets who told me he had died.
At the moment we're both in total shock and can't believe it. The house seems so quiet without our lovely boy. He will be missed by everyone who knew him and I hope that he's now with my dad.
This is a screen shot of a photo taken the last time he was at the beach.
Sleep well Lou Lou, we love you xx
