What a lot of steps!
Weather improved slightly today and was dry enough for a trip to another new NT property - this time Winkworth Aboretum.
It is a very hilly property with amazing views and beautiful trees and plants.
It's a rarity around here as being dog friendly (on leads) and we saw plenty of dogs enjoying the paths.
We did part of two of the trails and wound our way down to the boathouse where we saw two enormous fish in the lake.
The sun typically came out as we began the hike back up many steps to the level path.
There were still carpets of bluebells everywhere and it was beautiful. Many of the other flowers (I'm a bit rubbish with names) were starting to bloom and I took a few nice shots on my phone.
Mum and dad came too with me and the twins and I took a few pictures on dad's SLR and it made me wish I had brought mine, maybe one of these days when I have less to haul around for the kids, I may just pop my camera in my bag instead!
The chosen shot for today was one set of steps we took on our way down to the lake, it was very pretty lined with bluebells and some very dainty white flowers too :)
