Mandolin wind

A few years ago I bought a second-hand mandolin on impulse. I thought that because it has the same fingering as a fiddle that I would be able to play it easily. I can pick out a recognisable tune, but the right-hand picking is more difficult than I thought. You would expect that to be the easy hand, right? It is a lovely, hand-made instrument, but it is gathering more dust than I would like. Perhaps that is a project for the future?
