Dear Biggles

I traveled to Mataura to get you after seeing an ad in the paper, you were the only cat that I could bring home that day, you weren't really the cat that I would have chosen if I had to choose but I bought you home anyway

When we got home you just walked around the house as if you owned the place, you jumped into bed that night as if you were finally home

My neighbor came to see you and talked me into putting you into a cat show, you loved it and didn't care that you were put into a cage, then when it was your turn you smooched the judges until you won, you got 4 trophies over 2 shows with your name on and you got 4th in New Zealand in the Siamese/Oriental Kitten division winning your self a photo in the cat magazine with all the other pretty cats

You ended up becoming a pretty good looking farm cat, who would bring me rabbits mice and even a live hedgehog which you put beside my bed, it completely freaked me out and I had to get help from the neighbor to remove it. Once you had a dead rabbit inside the house which didn't impress me to much and I yelled at you to pick it up and take it outside and you did, I was so happy that I shut the door behind you

You loved a game of fetch with anything that you would bring to me, I never minded playing with you Biggles. You have left an empty space in the cat box with the 2 brown cats that you have left behind, you were the king and they loved you and looked up to you. Bizzo was keeping you warm on the day Mum took you to the Vets for the final time and Oscar came to say goodbye when we buried you.

Lee gave you his firetruck to play with in cat heaven you have certainly earn't your place up there

I put you here Biggles because I would always see you sitting here in the sun staying away from the wind…I hope you like it.

I love you Biggles and miss you everyday and Lee still talks about you and says 'Hi Biggles' when we walk past your final resting place
