Staying around Home
Today was a lovely sunny, warmer NC day. It is my last full day on holiday...
Both artists spent loads of time outside working on their projects. One was putting the outdoor fascia under the eaves of the roof on her workshop. And this one was transplants and planting watering and generally gardening. So stylish!
She is fully covered with her long pants tucked into her boots because all kinds of insects are out. That small cabin in the back served part of the time as their temporary home until they build their larger house/studio. They built the cabin too but still had to cook outside on a fire for 9 months. These are really pioneering women!
Lovely gift for my home garden and for friends... She weeded out a lot of young volunteer blue siberian iris seedlings for me to transplant in NY. Otherwise, she would throw them out in the compost... Into the suitcase tonight. they go.
The riches of some people.
Another perfect day in the Blue Ridge mountains... time for one more outdoor shower with a view of the blue sky through the new green leaves. I do not have enough outdoor privacy at home to put in a shower. Another luxury-- no photos... yet
