Ardkinglas

It was off to Argyll today and a trip to Ardkinglas Woodland Gardens. What a great place it was too, with paths and trails bordered by brightly coloured azaleas and rhododendrons and some of Britain's tallest trees ... particularly impressive when you're as little as me!

"What would the world be, once bereft
Of wet and wildness? Let them be left,
Oh let them be left, wildness and wet;
Long live the weeds and the wilderness yet."
(Gerard Manley Hopkins)
