Life is like a river

Waiting and waiting

Argh...what is it with carpenters and plumbers and all those craftsmen about never showing up on time? Not doing what they said they'd do? Talking nonsense and then trying to apologize when everyone has gone mad?

I spent over two hours this morning waiting for them, but they didn't show up. I made calls, I went to talk to the insurance company, they said it was all a misunderstanding (even though the carpenter had told me on Wednesday they'd be here at 10:00 on Friday) and they'd be here at 15:00 to estimate our cost for the repairing of the roof (the part not included in the insurance).
They finally arrived at 16:00 and didn't stay for long. They told me it might not be possible for them to do this job, because they are so busy, and then I'd have to hire someone else to do this part of the project before they could come back and finish repairing the room. They would discuss this in a meeting later today and send me an e-mail.
Now it's after midnight and no e-mail received yet...
I might have gone mad by the time this will all be finished!

On the bright side:
I went swimming tonight, first time after the accident. It was really lovely to move in the water and use my yellow fins again. We then had a quiet evening in front of the TV.

The photo is just a desperate last minute "I-must-blip-something". It has happened before :)
