Aggregate

Essential to making concrete. Which, I’ll be making tomorrow along with a very able helper. In fact I might be the helper ;-)

Long concrete story, won’t bore you. Didn’t happen yesterday, pump couldn’t be here without a traffic management plan, $1000-$1500, so $400 worth of concrete was getting into the $2500 range, which was just silly.

So today I went and bought all the ingredients. $190 worth of aggregate and cement, $50 for the mixer tomorrow, and a few hours work.

Also did some more plastering repairing the celling from all the recent electric work. Bought a new panel heater for the downstairs bedroom, might install tonight. And had the chimney flu sweeper in, only to find out (of course) that the firebox in our woodburner needs a new baffle. It will be a few days …

It's actually all quite funny .. I am wondering if my typical “just in time” philosophy is going to foot trip me this time. Hahaha ;-)
