Reaching for the blue.

Lovely and bright this morning but as I had seen the forecast I rushed out to take what I could in the garden whilst we had the blue skies.

This Clematis Montana was looking good when we got back from our holiday last week so I decided to photograph it before it disappears like all the blossom in the village.

These flowers at the top seem to be reaching for the blue sky. In reality they all try to climb over the wall to the sun as it is is a NE facing one that was the original boundary of the meadow on which our house was built.
