Wet But Not Weathered

My day today was as varied as the weather…which is to say a lot. I started early and headed straight to work. I got that done as quickly and efficiently as possible since I had to be at uni by ten. I got to work in the wet and dark and left it with clear skies. These continued as I rode into uni where I had a tute until one.

The tute went well and I got a lot out of it and now have a lot of work to do. By the time I walked out of that tute the rain had started up again. As I was getting my bike this little magpie lark was happily walking around me seemingly unfazed by the wet weather. I rode home in the increasing rain and arrived home well and truly saturated.

Jono came by later after he finished work and the two of us went over to the soccer oval to do some interval runs in the now once again clear blue skies. As the dark descended and the clouds started heading in once more my family met up at my sister Angela’s place for a mothers day get together and some delicious food. It’s now eleven and I’m back home, in bed, exhausted and well and truly ready for some sweet slumber.
