Hello, This is Me!

Well ive been here over a year now, and some of you will have no clue what I look like.
Most photographers, myself included, don't like our pictures taken, but we are more than happy to take other people's. So, today, I was in my studio, checking my lights etc for a family portrait session,and nobody was around to sit for me, so it had to be self timer, and sit for myself.
I like to think this is better than most "selfies" which have become the vogue these days. For my black and white work, i do love to use a black velvet background which absorbs all the light thrown at it, and stays black, a trick I learned back in the 1980s when I first became passionate about photography
So, here I am, hello everyone!
The lighting was one half powered studio light bounced off a big square brolly to the right, and a large silver reflector to the left, nice and simple.
