Last day on Kökar
The morning broke misty and there was some rain forecasted later in the afternoon. This would be my last whole day on Kökar, so I had a quick breakfast and went to Gunvor's path. The air was very still when I walked, but the birds were having a subtle concert in the alder woods.
As I walked along the shoreline I spotted many seabirds. The sea was calm, only some surges sweeping softly on the rocks. They were like the breathing of the sea; remains of the past windy days, like big sighs from the depths. Even I sighed, it was so calming.
There was so much space, just utter stillness. When I came here I didn't expect anything, I just got everything. I cried, not because I'd be unhappy, but because everything was so beautiful. Not only what I saw but what I felt.
I feel gratitude, humbleness towards life. Thank you Kökar.
This is a shot of a swallow, a sign of summer.
