Not in my garden

I would love to have these growing in my garden but I have to go onto the mountain to see them. They seem to like hot positions and poor soil. I have no idea what they are. The morning was spent at the morning and learning how to record youtube content onto my laptop for French conversation classes. I think I have mastered it now. The afternoon was taken up with trying to help out with a medical problem in the family, a possible detached retina requiring immediate attention. Fortunately, daughter works alongside eye surgeons all week and has been a fount of information and useful advice.
