Perhaps that is not the best quotation to express the idea I want! The idea is 'what a pretty clump of white flowers; it doesn't matter what it's called'.
But as many of you will know the quotation goes on 'would smell as sweet' - and I can't claim that wild garlic would smell sweet! (In fact it gave the goats' milk a burnt taste when they ate it).
