A Suffolk Eye

Stowaway

Autumn is usually the time for large sulky spiders, but this one is an early bird. She snuck in when we brought the washing in from the line, sitting on the side seam of my best jeans.

I, myself, me, playing Fearless Freda the Lady Spider Tamer- as I have done so often in the past - had her bang to rights , and caught her despite her best efforts.

And took a number of pictures as she scurried, stamped and then scowled at the bottom of the glass.

But when I put her outside in the rain, was she thankful? Not one little bit. Either that, or she was busy reading about the British Museum's Viking exhibition
